Nora wasn’t created as a turnkey development project. It arose from a desire to create a place in the Jizera Mountains that would be different. A place where modern design doesn’t clash with tradition, but where they form a single whole.
From the ground up to the last detail
When we first broke ground on this southern slope in Příchovice, we had a clear vision, but a long road ahead. We carried out the entire construction ourselves. Almost 350 m³ of concrete, over 20 tons of iron, and 40 m³ of wood passed through our hands.
We stood outside in the mud and then fine-tuned every little detail inside to ensure that everything was not only functional but also honest. We believed that the feeling we have about Nora, you – our guests – would have too. A feeling of complete privacy, security, and connection with the surrounding landscape.
